We receive numerous emails from customers who want to send flowers to Taipei saying, “I am looking at your website and I want to order flowers. How to I do that?” Therefore, we have put together a brief video that shows how to order from Avignon Florist, our local Taiwan flower shop. For those of you who would prefer to scan through text than sit through a video, I have put a summary of the process for ordering flowers below as well.
Who we are and what we do:
It seems appropriate to take a moment to give a brief description of who we are and the services we provide. We are a local flower shop in Neihu district of Taipei, Taiwan.
We accept orders from all over the world, but we deliver primarily to the Taipei and New Taipei City areas. We do help with delivery to other areas of Taiwan as well, so if you are interested in sending flowers outside of the greater Taipei area, send us a message. We do not accept orders to other countries. If you want to know why, you should check out my post Why Why You Should Order From a Local Florist.
How to send flowers to Taiwan:
The process is really very simple. Just find the flowers you are looking for and click the add to cart button. This will take yo
u to the cart page, where you should see the item you ordered. Select the appropriate delivery option. Delivery fees vary by district and city, so there is a list of fees for flower delivery to Taipei and New Taipei City here.
Fill in the delivery information. If there is anything you don’t know, you can just put XXX or 000 in the space. If it is something we need, we will send you an email. A couple of important exceptions to this are a local phone number and the district and/or post code, especially if you are sending flower to New Taipei City. If we have the post code, we can figure out the district and vice versa, but it is important to have at least one.
One last note: Please include any extra information in the order notes. This could include changes to the flowers (eg. color requests) or delivery information. It is especially helpful to us if you can tell us whether the flowers are being delivered to a home or office. If they are going to a home, it is also helpful to know if there is a security desk in the building. They will usually accept the flowers if the recipient has stepped out when we arrive.
How to pay by credit card
I suspect when people write asking how to send flowers, what they really mean is, “How do I send flowers without a PayPal account?” You can pay with a credit card, but all of our payments, including our credit card payments, are processed by PayPal. This is for your protection, since PayPal can provide a level of protection that we just can’t offer. We never see your payment information at any time and it is not stored in our system.
However, people often have a hard time finding the credit card link when they get to the PayPal website. Between you and me, I think PayPal makes the link obscure on purpose in order to get people to sign up for a PayPal account. But, there is no need to have a PayPal account or to sign up for one. The link to pay by credit card is shown in this picture.
That should be all you need to know to send flowers to Taiwan. If you still have questions, please feel free to drop us a line on our contact us page.
